The committee is hoping to have the Reflections book published before Christmas. Right now it looks like there will be more than 80 stories, as well as articles, lots of pictures, and old postcard photos. The final price of the book has not yet been determined, but we are estimating that it will be approximately $40 or $45. Putting it together has been a volunteer effort, and this is not intended to be a fundraiser, so the cost will be based solely on what it takes to cover expenses.
Thanks to all those who have contributed their stories and other materials. We're sure you will all want to get copies of the book, and they would certainly make wonderful gifts for family and friends, too.
Since there will be a limited printing, we have started a presale list. If you want to be sure to receive a copy, you may send the following information - name, number of copies, and contact information - to Shirley Allshouse (sallshouse6714@charter.net) or 124 East Wakefield Boulevard, Winsted, CT 06098. This will not obligate you to anything, but when the book is published and before it is distributed to the general public, you will be contacted per the information you give us and will have first opportunity to purchase.
